Let me introduce you to the blog [Head2Wind.com](http://www.head2wind.com) to provide owners & operators and any other interested party with comprehensive information on methods, tools, applications, use and business cases in the field of performance optimisation, measurements and monitoring, as well as load and component life time assessments. This shall provide the reader on how these tools and methods have been applied and which effect they had on performance, loads, component lifetime. Most of all the business case of such applications is key as the tangible return of investment needs to be demonstrated for any of these tools before they will be applied in the fleets.

The blog [Head2Wind.com](http://www.head2wind.com) starts with an article providing an [overview on rotor-based performance improvements](https://bg.head2wind.com/blog/wind-turbine-performance-optimisation-introduction-and-overview-on-rotor-based-methods). In subsequent blog posts (at least on a weekly basis) we will go a bit more into details on the methods and tools available showing real applications and their effects on wind turbine operations.
